Once again time has gotten away from me and I haven't kept up on my blog. Though I'm still trying to figure out what's going on health wise, things have been going well.
I had my 25th high school reunion a while back and reconnected with an old friend whom I'd first met in the 8th grade. I was undecided as to whether or not I even wanted to go to my reunion when about a week and a half before I got a friend request from Buddy on Facebook. Of course I accepted the request. After HOURS of chatting online and i invited him to join me for the class reunion. He showed Friday afternoon, walked into my office and I was lost in his beautiful blue eyes. That was all it took and I was hooked.
Yesterday I was offered and happily accepted a beautiful ring and the promise of his heart. I was also told "this is a promise ring but I'm telling you now I'm going to marry your ass". Might sound strange to some but it was music to my ears. After 2 marriages and a few relationships that I see now didn't have what was needed to survive I can finally say I've met the man of my dreams and for the first time in my life I can say I am totally "in love" with someone very special that I truly want to spend the rest of my life with!!! It's amazing what can happen when you aren't looking and then you open your heart. Thank you for that and so much more Buddy! I love you!!!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY

A time when our nation is full of uncertanties....uncertain of our economic stability, uncertain of our government, uncertain even of our neighbors, friends, families and jobs but it's nice to see there is one day that we come together and celebrate what a great nation we really do live in.
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, EVERYONE!

School's Out for Summer =)
Well, even though Friday is officially the last day of class, I've completed all my final projects and submitted them for grades so I'M DONE - WOOOHOOO. Only 5 more quarters to go for my 2nd AAS degree. This time I hope to actually get it all done in one swoop unlike my previous degree which took me 9 years LOL
Here are some of the projects I did in my classes this quarter.
On this one we had to take an image, add lyrics or a poem to make a CD cover. I chose an image that I then did a reflection on. This is one of my favorites!
This one obviously we had to create a postage stamp. I like how this turned out!
Ahhhh, this was a fun project once I figured out what I wanted to do with it. Basically we had to create a web banner based on the environment, sustainability etc.
Another fun project. We had to do a "label" on a bottle using certain elements to fulfill the requirements including warping to make it look as if the label wraps around the bottle!
I have several others but this is a good sampling! Hope you enjoy looking at my projects!!
NOTE: Images used were borrowed for the purpose of my own personal academic use and are not to be used for any reason without acknowledging they belong to someone else! I take credit for putting images together for my school projects only!

HOLY COW....It's been 2 months since I posted.
Time flies when you are dealing with work, school and life I guess. Only 2 weeks of school left with finals coming up. That should take up some time LOL
Other then that, things have been going along. Work is work...I always seem to keep busy even when the store isn't LOL
Health wise we're all having our issues, Brian with his "blue toe syndrome" (yes, that's the real diagnosis), Ethan with knee issues and physical therapy and me - well, 2 weeks ago I had 4 molars pulled - no complications =) and, still ferreting out problems with my breathing. New doctor and new tests hopefully will reveal something! Guess once you hit 40 things just start falling apart. Then, I thought the dog (Leggo my little Chihuahua) had an ear infection in his right ear, turns out he had a piece of grass with a burr on the end wedged down his left ear. Had to sedate him on Fri. to take it out - LMAO Every hear of anything like that? Guess it's not uncommon according to my vet. He was pretty out of it most of Fri. night and Sat. but is doing much better today!
My only wish (besides good health) in all of this is that I had a money tree in the back yard!!!!! Just waiting for the bills to start rolling in. Glad we have insurance!
Well, I guess that's enough for now. If I don't post for another 2 months, just assume nothing much has changed LOL

BACK TO SCHOOL - WOOOHOOO
On Monday, March 30, 2009 I start a new adventure - back to school for me. I'm starting on my 2nd AAS degree in Multimedia Communications - Graphics option. I'm really excited - and nervous.
I love to learn, especially when it comes to new software (I should get a job as a tester). I also have a 32 hr/week job and worry about being able to do 2 online classes even though I did it last year while working full-time (before I got sick). I am currently paying my other student loan so adding MORE debt also makes me question my own sanity in this day and age. OH what the heck - I'm only going to live once and I can't take the money with me!!!
For my first 2 classes toward the degree I'm taking Intro to Multimedia which I should do OK with and Digital Image Editing which is PhotoShop, the one program I am very unfamiliar with. Good thing I'm taking the class to learn it!! I spent 7 years working with Illustrator and PageMaker (OLD versions) but PhotoShop was the one that always eluded me. I'm looking forward to the challenge (not the frustration) and hope to become well versed in multimedia!!
Bye 4 now!
